been quite a while old friend
good to be with you again
still a fast movin melody
blastin past you
most with no clue
who is you
whatcha be
whatcha seen
whatcha do
my heart beats nervously
as I approach thee
just a "tree" puh-lease
thee be not just a tree
a friend with a past
a friend that lasts
a friend that remains
in a constant state of change
never grasping for fortune or fame
I feel thee reach deep

that these human ears cannot hear

the masses who pass
