Pen and Paper

Pen and Paper

pen and paper
coughs and vapors
heavy costs to major lazer

she ran for the hills
when we ran out of pills
I want I want
I need to feed

and the night passed slowly that day
tension and turmoil that wouldn’t go away

when I stop thinkin’
the forest grows to vast

when I stop thinking
I’m no longer cast
as the leading figure
in my shadow past

I believe it’s time
cuz someone fouled the air

could’ve been one of many
and maybe it’s a heaven-scent

if I watch the gap
how will I make it back
to the northside of philly

where the music still plays
pretty much everyday

she left [me] at purdy’s
my reflected ghost

now I’m racing back to beacon
heading for the coast…
