It only goes so far my Love.
[It] took us from shore by car my Love.
New England valleys rise and fall -
perfect rhyme and rhythm they.
This land is changing my Love
from some-thing to some-thing other.
A land much older, that's never new.
Where blue-ribbon piglets and puppies play.
Where healthy horses nay [everyday].
Oh my Love,
in that space -
unmistakable grace.
Lord forgive...
my [truths and lies]
my wrongs and rights
my almosts and fights
my hurts and harms
my shouldn’t-have-done-thats and regrets
Again, old friend.
A sacred friendship that don’t easily end.
So much to amend.
Love abounds in old mountain sounds.
Thoughts drowned
in ragweed and greed
a bullshit creed.
Lord it feels [like] life has been one paradigm [shift] after another.
At least in these past few years
the oceans started movin again.
She’s moving in.
Barriers and bridges -
she's pushin past
she's movin fast...
This ain’t no splash smash
chasing more cash
crash course in livin wild child.
Lord [looking back] it seems so unclean -
that place, its buzz and pace,
I care not to remember that taste -
but don't want to forget it's face.
Or is it as you’d have it be
things changing rapidly
the many WE learning daily
to see a bit differently...
Please guide me.
Thank you Lord -
please write me back,
if you read this.
There’s a lot on the board
and so very much more
spread out on the floor
[and stuffed behind the door]
in my head and my heart -
thy will be Lord.
Amen.
