Doesn't' She

Doesn't' She

when the twenty-dollar whore
comes a knockin’ at your door
say I know you gonna want more
but the bottles and bongs
nursery rhymes move us along
would you like to see
what it means to me
to bow before Love gracefully
come take a knee next to me
let’s see what we can see
we only seek the truth
be we children adult or youth
I often shy away
from the drama in the drab
in the balconies high above chad
sure it makes me mad
when demands ask me to understand
and echo in an ocean
a million miles away
and to hear her call
a bit clearer than yesterday
oh Lord let the ink flow from me
let me speak as you’d have me say
and at the end of the day
ever-remember to pray
thank you for this day
be what it may
Love always finds a way
doesn’t she…
